Speech-language pathology is the study of disorders that effect a person's speech, language cognition, voice disorders and swallowing disorders. Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) address people's speech production, vocal production, swallowing difficulties and language needs through speech therapy in a variety of different contexts including schools, hospitals and private practice.

My name is Sima Hall and I am a Speech and Language Pathologist.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, where I completed my Master of Speech pathology at La Trobe University, I came to Dubai in February 2006.
I have helped clients of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds.
I have successfully provided therapy to children with communication challenges, including articulation difficulties; language delays; and dyspraxia.
My special interest is in helping children, teenagers and adults with stuttering difficulties.
I have a broad experience in the rehabilitation of patients following stroke and other neurological traumas, such as motor vehicle accidents, tumour and illness. My services include providing therapy for loss of language, namely expressive and receptive difficulties; assessment, monitoring and treatment of swallowing disorders; as well as regular communications with family members and care givers for whom this can also be a worrying time.
My clinical experience also includes helping people of various ages with special communication difficulties, including Parkinson's disease, Multiple sclerosis and Cerebral Palsy; as well as voice disorders for professional voice users.
